SmartMove RD

Transit app prototype for real-time bus tracking, route planning and cashless fares in Santo Domingo.

The problem

Public transit in the Dominican Republic lacks reliable information, so commuters can't plan trips, compare options or pay without cash.

Design highlights

  1. 01Real-time map navigation with saved places and multi-stop routes across walking, metro and bus segments.
  2. 02Side-by-side route comparison ranked by speed, cost and connections, with time, wait and fare in RD$.
  3. 03Digital wallet with top-ups, history and QR fare codes that validate offline and expire after 5 minutes.
  4. 04Safety features: SOS button, trusted contacts, live trip sharing and incident history.

Outcome

  • A 12-screen high-fidelity prototype covering the full journey from OTP onboarding to payment and safety.
