EmergencIA
Software design and prototype for an AI-powered platform connecting citizens with emergency services in the DR.
The problem
Over 60% of 9-1-1 calls in the Dominican Republic are unverified, and coordination between institutions is fragmented. Dispatchers get ambiguous reports, and authorities lack a live picture of where incidents are concentrating.
What we designed
- 01SOS incident reporting: citizens submit GPS-tagged reports with photo, video and voice evidence that feed directly into the national 9-1-1 system for faster triage.
- 02Location-based alerts: push notifications triggered by GPS when critical events happen nearby, integrated with official sources such as COE and ONAMET.
- 03Institutional analytics dashboard: a role-gated panel with live geographic heatmaps, response-time metrics and exportable historical reports.
- 04Offline-ready emergency guides: WCAG 2.1-compliant content on earthquakes, floods and traffic accidents that works without a connection.
- 05Modular microservices architecture designed to scale to 10,000+ concurrent users and interoperate with COE, SNS and DIGESETT.
Deliverables
- Complete requirements specification aligned with ISO/IEC 25010.
- UML use cases, process flows and a relational database schema (ERD).
- High-fidelity mobile prototype covering the citizen and institutional journeys.
